FEATURED ARTICLE

Seacliff EnvironmentalLast March the City of Capitola was hit with one of the worst rainstorms in its history. Flash floods created devastation to local businesses, homes, and to the police and fire departments.

The community was underwater and people didn't know where to turn for help. Having the knowledge and experience, our crew at Seacliff Environmental Services & Construction knew what needed to be done. Walking door to door, we provided drying equipment and man power.

The Seacliff crew worked diligently to remove huge amounts of mud and debris, and perform contents manipulation and decontamination in homes and businesses. The prevention of mold growth and reduction of water damage was critical. With our years of know-how and state of the art equipment, business owners and residents experienced minimal damage to their property.

At no cost to those in need, we provided critical emergency services necessary for heading off serious damage. To us there are certain things in life that are bigger than economic reclamation - being able to help people in need is one of them.

Capitola Fire Station"Dear Seacliff,

I wanted to take a moment to thank you and your crew members for the work mitigating the mold issue at our Capitola fire station. The rebuild project from the flooding has been a long process and it was a welcome change to be able to call Seacliff Environmental and have you respond quickly and for your crews to work efficiently to assist us.

The estimate for the work was very fair and the project was completed right on schedule. All work was performed under all applicable laws, certifications and guidelines. The photos and accompanying documentation you provided are important records for us to have for future reference for disclosure purposes.

Your company was referred to us from a local business and I would highly recommend you again for anyone who is seeking a referral for this line of work.

Thank you,

Buck Martone
Central Fire District
Project Manager, Capitola Station"

MOLDY CORNER

surfer dudeDid you know we breathe in more contaminants inside our homes than we do outside? The reason for this is our changing lifestyles and the changes in building materials and home designs.

These days the majority of us, and especially children and elderly folk, stay indoors more often. Because of this, we need to make sure the air inside our homes is as clean (if not cleaner) than the air outside. Our homes are our "safe zone" for many things, and this should include breathing.

It is important to make sure our homes are free of mold and other health contaminants. Our homes are complex systems that need to function properly to help prevent serious health problems.

To find out if your home is healthy or unhealthy, ask yourself the following questions:

* Has my home been modified (remodeled, new addition, added insulation, new windows, etc.)
* Was the modification a benefit or an added problem?
* Can I improve on the energy efficiency of my home?
* Am I sick more often than other people?

If you answered yes to most or all of these questions, your home might be in need of help.

Give us a call and we will help your home become healthy again. Life is too short to breathe unhealthy air, especially in the comfort of your own home.
